Meet The Team

Tony Carter

Founder & Head Coach

Tony has been legally blind since birth, but he hasn’t let his vision impairment get in the way of his dreams. He is a former martial arts champion, a former chef, and a father of three. He is now using his experience to help others, by creating unique martial arts based programs designed to teach important skills through play.

Nicole

Herder of Cats (aka Office Manager)

An integral part of the Warrior Team, Nicole assisted in coaching additional needs kids in Martial Arts and Fitness.  She has practiced yoga for over 10 years and also ran and wrote classes. Nicole has worked in the disability industry since 2021 with a wide range of clients.

Samantha Cook

Psychology Lead

Samantha is a registered Senior Psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly from various cultural backgrounds. She has a Masters Degree in Forensic Psychology and a Certificate IV in Crisis Intervention. Samantha has worked in the fields of mental health, juvenile justice, and private practice. She has experience in the areas of behaviour management, trauma stress, anxiety, depression, drug and alcohol, relationship issues, obsessive-compulsive behaviour as well as health coaching.

Zac

Support Worker

Zac started working in the disability industry early in 2021, after deciding to leave the building industry as a Carpenter. He has worked with a wide range of clients both young and old, with both high and low needs.

Olivia

Support Worker

Since starting at Warrior Centre Olivia has worked with a variety of different clients, mainly in Access Community. She enjoys helping people become more independent and achieve their goals. Olivia loves working in an environment that is so inclusive and having the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life.

Darren

Support Worker

For the past 18 years Darren worked as a chef in a high pressure environment, so is cool and calm under pressure and can think on his feet.

 

Darren chose to get into the disability industry to be somewhere he can make a difference as a father to a teenage son with autism, ODD and ADHD.
